Please reach us at info@solopreneursupport.net if you cannot find an answer to your question.
At Solopreneur Support, we primarily work with e-commerce entrepreneurs managing customers and fulfillment independently. We also work with clients with "brick and mortar" storefronts in addition to an online presence. On a limited basis, we also offer virtual consulting appointments for e-commerce retailers.
Or model is based on a need that we experienced ourselves as solopreneurs. We travel the US and offer on-site "temp" services for solopreneurs hoping to step away from their companies for any reason. We begin by learning about your business through a detailed onboarding process. Once on-site we have a system for in-person training to prepare to lend a hand for any length of time.
We have decades of experience in e-commerce. We've used platforms like eBay, Amazon (FBM and FBA), Etsy and others. We have built websites and grown businesses. We have extensive knowledge in processing orders, mailing, and inventory programs. We can handle customer service, payment programs, and accounting. We likely have used your systems in our own businesses.
Yes, we require both a non-refundable deposit and a signed consulting contract. Before any deposit or fees are collected, we determine if there is a good fit through our Client Inquiry Questionnaire. Our deposit is $200 per contracted on-site day or part-day. This non-refundable deposit will cover all onboarding and travel expenses for our team. You never pay for travel, or onboarding meetings while we learn your business.
In addition to the deposit, Solopreneur Support collects a fee calculated as a percentage of gross revenue during the service period. That fee ranges (similar to Amazon) from 8%-20%. The fee percentage will be determined in advance based on the historical gross revenue during the service period. A chart outlining the sliding scale of fees is available on request.
At Solopreneur Support we want to be a trusted partner. We determine fit first by ensuring that we have expertise in your backend systems and business model. We also (understandably) assess clients by date and location because of our travel schedule.
In most cases, yes. Our Solopreneur Support team will need access to your backend systems for training and on-site support. Administrative access is usually an option. We can also access systems through provided passwords and two-factor authentication. At the conclusion of our contract, we suggest changing passwords and removing admin access. If you aren't sure how to provide access to your systems we can walk you through that process.
In many cases, you can limit the types of access we have, providing just enough access for us to support your business. Our consulting contract also contains language to protect your data and any proprietary business information you may be concerned about.
